The anonymity of brand photography means that we’ll probably never know who had the wonderfully simple idea of promoting girls’ legwear by sitting them on the floor, flanked and supported by the legs of the brand’s adult models (and yes, two in the middle are the same shot with a photoshopped colour difference to the girl’s tights and shoes). They are simply lovely portraits in themselves – the brand is the Italian Franzoni company: and the Italians do have a reputation for some imaginative work with children’s fashion promotion, like the Spanish – in fact the next group are by a similar Italian brand, Vignoni:

….not as immediately attractive (and saving money by just using one model): they are still simple, clear and again work as well as portraits as sales material.
