Eleven-year-old Russian model Alisa Vertyachikh has a new session out by Zelenograd photographer Anastasia Serdyukova (Zelenograd is the Russian version of Silicon Valley, near Moscow…..and its emblematic animal is the squirrel: now you know), and for me it’s a salient lesson in the continuing usefulness of Facebook over Instagram:
……they’ve all got b&w versions – I just included the first: they don’t seem to add anything, but you can still see them by following the Facebook image-link below.
I found a couple of the set originally on Alisa’s Instagram feed: but from my point of view (logically rather different from most other viewers) they were far too small – either 320 x 400, or 438 x 535 – and popped in haphazardly whenever Alisa or her mum wanted an image to keep her feed rolling. Luckily Anastasia has the set all together in one album on Facebook: using a civilised 533 x 800 (and I even bumped that up a bit). As I said, my needs are rather different from most followers/viewers, being interested in the quality of the visuals as much as anything – and obviously not the social element – and for this Facebook usually beats Instagram hollow: the “Album” feature for professional photographers’ accounts being an extra.
Anyway, it’s a lovely set – with rather a clean-cut “preppy” feel: if you can be preppy in shorts…. Here are a couple more from a different session: demonstrating that she’s the unusual model who looks as good with her hair up or down (and resembling a young Maria Sharapova):
……I posted on her already this year, here. I’d have to say that the sheer aggregation of gorgeous portraits by Anna Volk (of the adorable Annie Sutormina, as well) is a bit superior to this post – here’s an example to jog your memory:
…..but Anastasia has a good portfolio as well, including world-class models like Evelina Vosnezenskaya (included in the header):
…….the pussy-cat tights being irresistible, of course…..and, by the way, if you check out the image-links below “@vesnugka” is Anastasia’s Instagram handle….
